She recently completed a Master of Music in Choral Conducting at the University of Manitoba with Dr. Elroy Friesen. Brittany also holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Capilano University and an Associate of Arts Degree in Professional Music from Southwestern Community College.

In February of 2017, Brittany was chosen to work with Jon Washburn in the Vancouver Chamber Choir’s National Conductors’ symposium; she was selected as a student conductor to participate in the choral conducting masterclass lead by Michael Zaugg at the 2016 Podium Choral Conference and Festival; Brittany was also the apprentice conductor for the 2014 Alberta Youth Choir under the direction of Dr. Rollo Dilworth. OUR ACCOMPANIST - KIM BESTVATER-SIDORCHUK
We say “welcome back!” to Kim Bestvater-Sidorchuk for her twelfth of what we hope will be many seasons with the Eastman Youth Choir!
Kim is no stranger to accompanying all over the Eastman Region – she keeps busy in our arts community by accompanying many vocalists, instrumentalists, musicals and choirs. She has her Associate in Music – Piano Performance from the Western Board as well as her Bachelor of Music - Piano Performance from the University of Toronto.
When she’s not teaching in her private studio, doing her own practicing, or helping the coordinators coordinate the choir, Kim enjoys hanging out with husband Rob and their two adult daughters, Julie and Rachel.
